Competitve Teams
The Girls Competitive team consists of girls who range in age from 7 to 15. They compete at three different levels. Level 4, Level 5, and Optional. Level 4, is the beginning level of competition. Level 5 is the next level of competition and Optional is the highest level of competition. Both level 4 and 5 are compulsory, in which everyone does the same routines. Optional is a level at which the girls are able to make up their own routines, pick their own music for floor exercise, and choreograph the routines themselves. All girls at each level compete in four events: floor, uneven bars, vault, and balance beam.
The Boys Competitive team consists of boys who range in age from 7 to 12. Boys compete in 6 events: high bar, floor, pommel horse, vault, rings, and parallel bars.
Twisters Athletics competes in the Colorado Association for Recreational Athletics (C.A.R.A.). This is a program is less competitive and more fun. There is not a lot of pressure and the girls and boys are only allowed to work out for four hours per week.
